When your child is able to produce his/her sound easily at the word level, you may begin practicing these words in sentences. This adds another layer of complexity and is one step closer to generalization of the sound into conversation. Use the pictures and word lists provided to practice putting each word into a separate sentence while still producing the target sound correctly. Once these sentences come easily, try practicing longer sentences or sentences with multiple words containing your target sound. Never practice sentences too complex that your child is not able to produce them correctly. Your speech therapist will notify you when it is time to progress into the sentence level and when to increase the complexity level of the sentence.
